“Stole their purse:” Police seek to ID man wanted in 3 separate armed robberies

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in three separate armed robberies on the city’s south side.

The related incidents happened:

  • Around 11:00 p.m. on Feb. 26 in the area of 9th Street and Arthur Avenue
  • Around 12:00 a.m. on Feb. 27 near S. 3rd Street and W. Walker Street
  • Around 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 27 near S. 10th Street and W. Historic Mitchell Street

In each incident, the armed suspect approached female victims, demanded and stole their purse, and then fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 30-35 years-old, with a large build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and dark pants. A picture of the suspect in one of the incidents is below.

Random Lake man arrested for OWI, drug paraphernalia found in car

WASHINGTON COUNTY — A 22-year-old man from Random Lake was arrested Wednesday morning, Jan. 31 for 1st offense OWI. During the traffic stop, drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle. According to authorities, around 1:20 a.m. a deputy on routine patrol stopped a vehicle for traveling 88 mph on STH 144 near Jay Road in the Town of Farmington. The driver, identified as a 22-year-old Random Lake man, showed numerous signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety testing. He was arrested for 1st offense OWI. After the arrest, and at the driver’s request, the deputy placed a wallet back inside the driver’s vehicle. While doing so, the deputy smelled the odor of marijuana —  a glass pipe was subsequently located in the vehicle. The driver was cited for OWI, speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia. The breathalyzer result was .19.
